Personality Profiling
The current employment market is providing clear challenges in finding and keeping good people.
Over the past six years Hays Human Resources has become the UK’s leading HR recruitment specialist with the largest national office network. This phenomenal growth is the result of providing our clients and candidates with excellent service and targeted recruitment solutions that deliver results. When you place an HR vacancy with us, you can be assured that it will be managed by an experienced qualified HR professional or a highly experienced HR recruitment specialist.
We understand the importance of considering candidates’ cultural and job fit is key to long-term role satisfaction, which is a direct predictor of productivity and retention. Working in partnership with the psychologists and HR professionals within the Hays Assessment and Development team we can further support your recruitment decision-making. Personality profiling provides an indication of an individual’s preferred behavioural style and underlying traits. This information is extremely useful in predicting the potential of candidates to perform in a role and can be interpreted against the competencies associated with the job.
Take advantage of our personality-profiling workbook, designed to provide recruiting managers with further information on the work styles of candidates in specific areas. It allows managers to use the information from personality profiles independently and effectively at interview, helping you to make structured and fair decisions around the less tangible elements of role consideration such as team and work style fit. An example is below:
Partnership/Team Working
Ian’s profile indicates that he is an extremely people focused individual, he enjoys making links and developing relationships with others. He is likely to feel comfortable working with others to develop a strong sense of team and has an extremely strong preference to actively try and understand the key motivators and drivers of his colleagues so he can flex his style to meet their needs.
- Please tell me about a time when you have implemented a programme of work which has involved engaging with/co-coordinating a wide range of departments/organisations.
- Can you tell me about an occasion when you had to build effective relationships with colleagues outside of your department?
- Please describe a time when you had to listen to many different or conflicting views before coming to a decision. How did you ensure all views were fully heard and the difference reconciled?
