The role of the Scheme Manager is a supported one (but not hands on care), which requires a CRB check.
Duties for scheme manager jobs include:
- Check on tenants welfare, liaising with control room and other agencies - Keep tenants' files up to date - Complete support plans / reviews - Carry out checks on emergency call equipment and fire alarms and record these - Rreport / monitor repairs where tenant unable to do so - General support to tenants to maintain independent living
Prior experience is necessary - in very few cases can someone count simply on their transferable skills. There can also be live-in positions too although this is more likely in permanent scheme manager jobs.
